Background
Information
Oklahoma’s
All*Star Centennial Band was created by the Oklahoma Centennial
Commission to provide aspiring young high school musicians
with an opportunity to not only serve as musical ambassadors
for the State of Oklahoma, as it celebrates its Centennial
in 2007, but to also experience a musical educational experience
of the highest standard.
After successfully completing a tough audition process, those
selected will have all of their expenses paid as they learn,
grow and entertain hundreds of thousands of individuals during
their tenure as a member of this elite group.
Auditions begin in the spring of 2006, with rehearsals beginning
later that summer. Performances will be in the fall of 2006
and run throughout Oklahoma’s Centennial year, 2007.
Those young, talented Oklahoman high school musicians who
are eligible to audition will be in the 9th, 10th or 11th
grade in April 2006.

to let this opportunity pass you by!
